Rolling grilles

Economical, sturdy and reliable

Thanks to their ingeniously simple construction with just a few components, Hörmann rolling shutters and rolling grilles of aluminium, steel and stainless steel are especially economical. They are the doors that will prove themselves in daily use, again and again. Rollings shutters and rolling grilles require hardly any space above the opening. They form a compact coil behind the lintel. No valuable hall space is lost at the sides or ceiling.

The high level of standardisation in Hörmann rolling shutter and rolling grille construction goes far beyond the usual standard. For our strong team, the implementation of special solutions is all in a day's work.

Faster and safer, thanks to the leading photocell VLR

The photocell, which moves with door below the bottom profile, recognises obstructions before contact is made and stops the shutter "in advance", reliably preventing personnel injuries and material damage.

The system is integrated in the ends of the bottom profile and fully enclosed by the guide rails. When it contacts the floor, it automatically retracts to a parking position, via its patented mechanism. This hides it almost completely from view and optimally protects it against damage.

With the VLR, even rolling shutters with high-speed operators (24 rpm at the shaft) easily comply with the statutory limit values for door closing forces. This is a solution that guarantees fast and safe production and logistics processes, also in routes with rolling shutters.

Doors close more tightly and have lower wear

The ZAK® System displaces the barrel on the support brackets and precisely guides the door curtain so that it always enters the side guides vertically.

The advantages of the ZAK® system:

- The gap between the rolling door curtain and lintel is closed, sealing the door

- Less abrasion and friction on the rolling door curtain; the door maintains its attractive appearance longer

- Significantly less noise is produced

- Less headroom is required

"full hard" steel

The "full hard" steel of Decotherm® S profiles raises deflection resistance by a factor of 3 and increases resistance to bending by 10%, compared to profiles of standard material. This makes the shutters and grilles especially resistant to damage and stable under wind loads.
